Improvisational activity takes place uniquely in space and time.

Improvisational activity takes place uniquely in space and time because it is a spontaneous and unplanned event. The actors or performers must be able to think on their feet and react to the situation at hand. This can be challenging, but it also allows for a great deal of creativity and innovation.

Every behaviour by everyone is new at all moments. Even if the actions appear to be the same as a previous action it is inevitable that the context of the action will have changed. It will be in a different time, a different space with different people in different moods.  In the improvisation (called 'Life'), you are not limited by your past experiences or your knowledge. New ideas and solutions are generated and old ideas reconsidered. This can be a very rewarding experience. In everyday life you can begin to realise just how creative you are at every moment.

In this sense improvisational activity takes place uniquely in space and time.
